Description
A Metal HSG Cannula is a reusable, stainless steel cannula used in Hysterosalpingography to inject contrast dye into the uterus and fallopian tubes.
Main Uses
1. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) Procedure
Inserts through the cervix to deliver contrast dye into the uterus and tubes. Helps check for tubal blockage, uterine shape, and causes of infertility using X-ray/fluoroscopy.
2. Uterine Cavity Evaluation
Detects abnormalities like fibroids, polyps, adhesions, septum, or congenital defects.
3. Infertility Workup
Key diagnostic tool in fertility clinics to assess if fallopian tubes are open before IVF/IUI.
4. Post-Treatment Confirmation
Used after tubal surgery or treatment to confirm tubes are still patent.
5. Selective Tubal Cannulation
In some cases helps to gently open proximal tubal blockages during the procedure.
